Sticky Window Problem

Hi, anyone know a way of getting the glue that got left behind when we removed the manufactures stickers from new window panes. We have tried everything, including scrubbing, soapy water, various window cleaning stuff and a scraper. Nothing is working and all our new windows have at least two sticky spots on them. Any advice appreciated.

It may be the same problem as encountered here and WD40 might do the job or vinegar as mentioned therein also.

If that does not work,i heard that nail varnish remover will.

White spirits might do the job

White spirits will do the job, I've used this to remove old adhesive residue from pvc frames and double glazing units. If the adhesive has dried out it may help to use a "Stanley" blade in a window scraper also.
