steel flue needing repair

The cast iron outlet section from our solid fuel cooker which connects into a prefabricated double walled steel flue has burnt through and needs replacement. The flue was put in when we installed the cooker as we hadn't a conventional chimney in our kitchen.
So far I have been unable to get anyone either competant or willing to undertake the necessary repair work. An engineer called from a Galway company and on inspection reckoned that two men could easiltyrepair the problem in a day and he'd be in touch. Several weeks elapsed during which I tried to get a definite quote and start date for the work. Eventually I got a written quote for €5800 which I interpreted as a "not interested" response.
I'd be grateful if anyone could let me know of a firm or fitter who might carry out the repair. I'm living in County Cork
