Hello

We moved into a three year old house about 6 months ago. The lamainate on the kitchen press where the kettle is situated is now starting to peel away. We contacted the kitchen company and they are saying as it is damage due to the "mis-use of the kitchen" ie boiling a kettle they are not liable to replace the cupboard door. Has anyone come accross this before or have any sugestions as to a remedy without having to pay for a new door.

Thanks

IMHO you are on to a loser here. The reason for a cooker hood is to deal with the steam from cooking. Three years of constant steam is understantably causing problems. Would one door be very expenisve?

I agree with sue ellen on this one, either re-use a door from another cabinet (in a less conspicuous location) or try and match the existing door. Toasters under wall cabinets can cause problems too.
