Stay at home mum,how to get back into system

Hi,
How does a woman who has stayed at home brining up her kids for the last 10years and hasn't been claiming any benefits or credits for 8 years get back into the system,and what benefits would she be entitled to if any? She was in full time employment for almost 10 year prior to this.

Would she have qualified for PRSI credits under the Homemaker's Scheme for some or all of those 8 years?

She would need to go back to work (even part time) and pay PRSI contributions before she would become entitled to any benefits.

What about pension benefits covered by the PRSI credits provided by the Homemaker's Scheme?

Homemakers scheme only helps to cover entitlement to contributory pension. I assumed that the OP was checking her entitlement to benefits before then.
