Statoil card available to IFS members

I received a circular from Irish Forestry Services (where I have a share or two) and they provided access to a portal where there are "special offers", including a Statoil fuel card which gets one fuel at "wholesale" prices. Does anyone have any idea if this is worth pursuing? Thanks.

Got the same circular and I don't hold any shares (may have requested info in the past)...

I have one of these but, as pointed out in this thread, the savings aren't necessarily that great. Sometimes the weekly price set by Statoil is no lower than what's charged at the pumps (although you always pay the lower of the two, so nothing to lose, I suppose) — and in any case you can often get better prices again at the likes of Tesco, if you're in the vicinity of one.

The only good thing is the 2 weeks free credit you get. Handy when you need fuel and funds are low.
