I and my wife have been called to court case as state witnesses. The case will last 3-5 days. What happens in relation to expenses we will incur over this time? We will have to travel 140 miles to the court so will we be provided with accomodation? Also what happens about wages?
 
get a letter from both employers stating how much you earn,how much you will lose and also put in @this does not include bonus,overtime or commission@ Get it signed by employer,give it ot garda in charge of case.you can also claim subsistence as well. is it the circuit or district court.
 
Get the guard in charge of the case to talk to his/her district office who will be able to advise on the correct rates. Also get the letter from your employer and get the guard to do the necessary paperwork.
keep copies of everything you submit and date them too!!
