My boyf was up north working for last year and half and he got let go end of april. He came back down and it was a nightmare to get back on JSA, as he was paying tax etc up north social at first said he wouldn't get JSA and then they changed their minds.
He only got supplementary welfare 4 weeks ago and as of 2 weeks ago he's on JSA.
He got a call from his previous employer last week about possibly re employing him as of next month either part time or full time with the option of working from home down south. Only thing is if he's part time can he still claim casual JSA and if so is there a max you can earn on the 3 day week?
He's worried if he ends up with full time and signs off and the company gets into financial difficulty again he could be in the same situation waiting for the dole.
