Starting off in Credit Control

Is starting off in a graduate role in Credit Control a good way to start ones's career? Is Credit Control manager the highest position you can get to from this entry-level position?

I have worked in Credit Control for about 10 years now and have been informed by Agencies that it tends to be an area of Accounts where un-qualified staff with good experience are sought rather than qualified people starting out. It really depends on the size of the Company where you go and how high you reach. There are Credit Management courses you can take if you were to find its something you like. However, be warned it may give you a jaundiced view of nearly every Client Company of your Employer.
