I'm looking to get my 8yr old started with golf. He has expressed an interest. I'm love playing but only plat a couple of rounds a year and am not in any club. What is the best way to get him started? Lessons? Par 3? etc. Advice please.
Where are you? If you're near Dublin there are summer camps run by the county council clubs, Elm Green & Stepaside come to mind. If you google.ie junior golf summer camp you will probably find something.
What about him playing pitch and putt for awhile. Its a very good start. My son started that way and went onto golf after a few years and became a really good golfer.
