Start Up Grants for a Soletrader ???

Hi All, was just wondering if anyone can give me some advise about grants.

My husband is starting up a new business as a Soletrader. He will also be going on the back to work scheme.
Would he be entitled to any type of grants?

Depending on what part of country you are in try local enterprise boards or rural development association. Your local social welfare office should be able to tell you who is the person you need to speak to get a business plan approved and apply for any grants that are going. They are scarce and usually consist of perhaps part payment towards a web site for example.
