Standard Financial statement, credit reference check

The S.F.S. requests i sign consent to a credit reference check.
Is this simply a check on bad loans, or does it check deposits held in banks other than my lender ?

I cannot see how they can tell what deposits you have in other banks. Why in any case are you asking this question?

It just checks your record on the Irish Credit Bureau which will show repayment record on loans, mortgages, credit cards, some credit union loans. They mainly check this to verify existing loans and to see that you have not taken out recent loans.

Thanks for the replies .I am unemployed- have used up most of my savings paying the mortgage- I have heard the banks take every penny.
