standard bathroom pan/toilet waste height

Hi,

I'm doing a bathroom renovation and need to break out a new 4 inch waste for a new toilet. I haven't yet got the pan but checking a few suites on Saturday it seems that the outlet height is standard at about 140mm from the base to the bottom of the toilet waste.

Is this a standard for toilets now, or should I wait until we actually pick the suite to get the actual height?

thanks

fago76,

When measuring, don't forget to include the height of your floor covering in your measurements. ie. thickness of floor tiles + adhesive etc.
I initially did my measurements from the bare unfished floor in my bathroom, and only just realised in time that the depth of the flooring I was going to use would also be a factor.

teddyk.

The pan is going to have a straight outlet to a wall, not down into a floor. I checked 3-4 different pans and they all had this height, so I thought it might be a general standard.
