Stamp Duty - Self Build

How much is stamp duty on:

1. A new build, 3200sq ft, mortgage 320k.
Does it depend on the end valuation?

2. Do you pay stamp duty on a site given to you from your parents?

Stamp duty is payable on the conveyance of the land, and at half rate where the transferror and transferee are connected by blood, but if, as your title suggest, this is a self build project, I do not see that there would be stamp duty on the value of the house.
