Im considering buying a property with rural renewal in Co Roscommon and selling my house - I am a secondtime buyer and was wondering if I need to pay stamp duty. The house cost is €165k.

You are liable for stamp duty on the cost prior to VAT (I posted a similar question a little while ago) - also the size of house etc appears to have an impact on SD .
