Stamp duty on transfer of SSIA

Hi All, wondering if anyone could help on following query. Looking to transfer SSIA to my Dad. Gift is well below C.A.T. threshold of 49,682. My question is regarding any stamp duty due on this transfer. I know previously (8 years ago) that there was no stamp duty on transferring cash but just want to know if this is still the case. I rang stamp duty section and they passed me on to paye. PAYE were very helpful but could not help and passed onto local district office. Local district were a dead end. So, I was hoping that someone here might know.

Never heard of SD on transferring cash.

Once again it appears revenue cannnot provide a decent sercvice to a taxpayer.
And yeah there is no stamp duty on the transfer of cash

I'd imagine that if the query had been put in writing to Revenue then it may have elicited as more useful response.

Why in gods name did the stamp office pass a stamp duty query on to PAYE
