Stamp Duty Avoidance for FirstTime Buyers

Hi,

My partner and i have made an offer for an apartment of 325k. I am a first time buyer but she already owns a property. We have agreed to purchase the property in my name in the hope that this will reduce our stamp duty to 3% for FTB's.

Does anyone have any experience in making an arrangement with the vendor about accepting an amount below 317,500 and paying the balance in a more discreet manner??

Are the estate agents likely to accomadate this sort of a request?

This would remove any liability to pay stamp duty on our purchase.

If anybody has experience of this or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

That would be fraud.
 
This is illegal practice and you surely dont expect to get some help here do you ?
