a mortgage adviser told me that after you are divorced you are treated as a first time buyer. I have check revenue and it appears to be true, but in our case my partner is the one who has just gotten divorced and we are buying a house together, we already have a house that we bought a few years ago which we are selling to buy. the house is second hand so we are wondering if anyone has been through this and any advice? I have asked my sol to check it out for us. We are looking at stamp of 21k so if we didn't have to pay it, would be a massive bonus, better than winning the lotto!!
