Stamp 4 meaning (Immigration)

Someone I know has obtained ''Stamp 4'' status in Ireland from the Department of Justice and is anxious to get a job quickly.

Can this person avail of the social safety nets and supports the rest of us are entitled to ?
Such as

1) Social welfare assistance
2) Medical Card
3) Advice and job hunt assistance from FAS/ Intreo etc

etc.


This person has not yet obtained a PPS number.

I think they can only get 3) as they won't have paid any social insurance. There should be some info on www.citizensinformation.ie

They are entitled to all of the above if the fit the criteria like every Irish citizen or others on stamp 4's.

If you do a search for 'residence rights' on the Citizens Information website, there is some information there re stamp 4.
