I discovered a stain on my polished mohogony table. It is a milky white stain and it I found it when I lifted my mouse mat. The mat is not dirty and the underneath is a foam rubber. It must have something got to do with the mat as the stain is shaped like the long edge and the corner of the mat.
I'm in the bad books with the wife. Can anybody throw any light on the matter.

The Mouse mat probably became wet or damp at some time. There is a special cream that can be bought and if rubbed on the table which should remove the mark. I can't remember what te cream is called but if you try MRCB in Cornmarket (up from Thomas Street) in Dublin they should be able to help you.

This definitely works ............. place a cotton sheet over the stain and iron it . We had a white stain on our table for months , son had left a load of damp clothes on table for hours ! Having tried everything and resigned ourselves to looking at this rather large white hew for 6-7 months, we were amazed how simple it was to remove it.
