I am separated from my husband and we have 2 children together.
he is very difficult and pays a small maintenance towards the kids.
Since he left, I have had to go part time and engage childcare to enable me to do even that which he refuses to pay toward.
we rent and he wont pay toward that either. he says I'm not entitled to spousal maintenance from him either.
Has anyone any advice on this. He's quite hard to deal with so while i'm awaiting my legal aid appointment I would love if anyone can provide an insight on this
Thank you

Less than helpful as the OP has indicated they are already waiting on free legal aid.

Why listen to what your former husband says?

You can bring an application for child maintenance yourself to district court, the max that can be ordered at DC is €150 per week per child.

You'll find the court clerks helpful with the paperwork but they can't give legal advice.

Get the child maintenance sorted first.
