Spotting Scopes

Hi all,

Im looking to purchase a spotting scope for whalewatching. Anyone have expereince of them or recommendations?

try e-bay, i picked up one not so long ago, cheap enough, little tripod and case. Its handy as you get a good range of options on price and zoom capabilities. You'll be able to gauge your requirments from the distance you'll be away from the whales. Just out of curiosity where do you go whale watching?
P.S. Anybody who replies with "Wales" will be in trouble!!
