Speech recognition to digital text

A longshot but..

Is anyone successfully using any speech recognition system that can work with a dictaphone tape, recognise the text and translate it to digital text?

Think very long tapes that take an absolute age to transcribe!

Never tried it direct from a dictaphone (you typically need to train the speech recognition software before you use it) but my brief experience with Dragon NaturallySpeaking left me impressed. You could just listen to the tape and speak what you hear.
