In the last few days I've had several spam emails (in Outlook Express) looking for read receipts. From Googling, it seems that there has been a recent surge of these requests in spam emails.
So just a heads up, make sure whatever you use for emails isn't automatically returning read receipts, thereby confirming your email address.
