Im very careful where i put my work email address. For example amazon, ebay, aam, jboss, SUN etc i register with a yahoo or hotmail account. The reason for this is to avoid spam. I dont even set my out-of-office message in effort to avoid it.
After a couple of spam free years in the last 2 months Ive started receiving 10 or so mails a day about buying prescriptions, screensavers etc. I was racking my brains trying to work out where they got my email, this morning I figured it out. The only place where I stupidly gave out my work email was when I was registering for eircom broadband. Has anyone else had this experience with them?
