We are planning a trip this Sept to the south of France. We plan to fly into Toulon via Ryanair, rent a car and travel to San Remo over a 10 day period. We hope to spend 2 days around Le Lavandou, a night near St Trop and then head towards Villefranche Sur Mer and Eze where we hope to spend the majority of our time. Ideally I'd like to spend 4/5 days in the one spot, somewhere with a nice village atmosphere along the coast. I'm not a swimmer but love snorkelling (don't ask!!) so a safe quiet beach close by is what I'm looking for. I've never been there before and would really appreciate some advice on accom, places to see etc. There is only going to be 2 of us travelling. All suggestions welcome !!! Thanks!!

I spent a week in this area last year, beautiful! san remo is nice, a few days would be enough there tho. theres a nice beach (be warned, we had to pay to get down onto it!), the town itself is nice, lots of winding streets and little shops. you can get 'designer' sunglasses for half nothing (they're very very very good fakes).
i'd recommend going to nice for a few days, fab place, lots to do and see and the dining out is very good. the beach is pebbly though.
went to monaco for a day trip, well worth the trip.
eze is beautiful, expensive tho.
there are lots of little villages along the way, have a look at the following websites
