Sources of Info on Investment Property Tax

As part of my job, I've recently been working with a tax consultant in relation to issues such as CGT and VAT on leases on investment properties.

Can anyone recommend good sources of info or books so that I can educate myself in these areas. I don't want to replace our tax advisor but I feel I need to be better versed in these areas in order to fully understand the tax advisor and give good info to my employer.

I downloaded some info on CGT from the revenue.ie website but our tax advisor informed me that the info was wrong as it was out of date.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The Irish Taxation Institute have an extensive publications catalogue
All these book have just been updated for Finance Act 2006 which is probably a couple of years ahead of revenue and are excellent books:

Also see the seminar held by the Institute of tax. They are on their website.

Thanks for replies. I will consider the books from the Tax Inst. I found a guide covering the topics I want on Revenue.ie ([broken link removed]), unfortunately it is outdated having been produced in Oct 2001. I've contacted them for a hard copy in the hope that it might be more up to date.

Edit: There are two relevant books from the Tax Inst., unfortunately they are not available until the end of Aug. Tax briefing 60 is relevant, but unfortunately it does not make easy reading, probably because I'm not familiar with the original Act. Will wait and see what I get from the Revenue via post.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
