SoundMAX audio problem

'NO SoundMAX audio present. You cannot use SoundMAX control panel.'
This message comes up over the soundmax logo , which has a red line through it.
How can I reinstall SoundMAX (no CD for my windows xp system with AMD Semhorr box). I am just getting sound through my headphones using Logitech audio.
Any basic help appreciated.

Don't know if this will work: Go to Start > Run and type in: services.msc , and hit enter.
Scroll down to "Windows Audio", right-click on it and select "Properties", set the startup type to Automatic, click Apply and
then click the "Start" button.

That's what i did when my audio driver failed.

If it doesn't work, (maybe if you're using a Mac) I think google would be a great help for you.
