Hi,
I know many people have problems with noise transmission through party walls. I recently discovered that the practice of 'dabbing' plasterboard on to walls while acceptable for walls where noise transmission is not an issue is not acceptable for party walls etc.
See http://www.westmeathcoco.ie/docs/notices/0c341b58-9201-4c1a-9bc4-3f287e3d27ab.pdf
Refer to pages 4 and 5.
Is anyone aware of any sucessful legal cases in support of this? Or any other comments?
If this is correct it could give many people a strong case against their builders to correct the problem.
Thanks,
