Had a discussion with wife recentily regarding a person/s(man/woman) 25-45 renting out a new Appartment would they prefer

(a) appartment kitted out in a sound system

or

(b) underfloor heating in on-suite and main batchrooms.

would appreciate what you guys think, thanks

If this is a straight poll Id go for underfloor heating as Ive had both and the UF heating is the one Id miss the most. (male early 30s)

underfloor heating - sound system can become dated quicker than UF heating

The underfloor heating is less likely (noise wise) to upset the neighbours and therefore makes for an easier life for the landlord.

I totally disagree - a good sound system beats under the floor heating any day, if you are trying to appeal to a male audience. In fact, women will appreciate a nicely installed system with hidden wires and speaker more than a man will.

It's only women who worry about cold tiles in the bathroom. Just put down a (machine washable, rubber backed) mat.

"It's only women who worry about cold tiles in the bathroom"

Its women with noisy neighbours who have loud sound systems who worry most

Underfloor heating AND a nice-looking and nice-sounding stereos becasue they don't have to be expensive. A more expensive system is just as likely to get damaged and your male lodger won't bother cleaning it anyway, you'll have to replace it or repair it - not worth the expense. Anybody into their music is more likely to have their own system with the exact specs they need.

male 30s here.

Don't most people nowadays lug around their own 'stuff' when renting? Chances are then, that they have a sound system of their own to their liking... last thing they'd want is for their own sound system to become 'clutter' cos the new place has a fitted system.

Go for the underfloor heating.

I'd say underfloor heating any day. In a year (or two, or five) the built-in sound system you've bought will cost half the price. The underfloor heating will probably cost twice the price.
