Sound not working on Google maps especially in cars

Hi All,

Of late I'm finding it very hard to get Google maps to work with sound especially in the cars. It seems to be erratic where it might work for a short while or not work at all on occasions.

Looked it up on Google and following instructions have gone to App/Settings/Navigation Settings and no matter what setting I choose it still does not appear to work properly.

Any advice please?

Could it be that your phone is bluetooth paired with the car handfree system ? Try turning off bluetooth on your phone. When my phone is connected to the car's handfree I dont hear any google maps sound.

Hey,
I understand this frustration of Google Maps audio issues, happened to me a lot. First, check your phone volume and app permissions which i believe you have done so far. So, If no luck, try updating the app or clearing its cache. If all else fails, a quick reinstall might do the trick. Btw sometimes a restart can also help you with this. Hope that helps!
