Sorrento - Rome

Hi all,
we are planning our honeymoon to sorrento and then onto Rome, ive read all previous threads and trip advisor but just lookin for some extra advice.

1) We are looking at hotel caravel in sorrento and hotel eliseo in rome. Has anyone any experiences with these hotels (good or bad would be appreciated).
We ve seen in preivous threads that hotel Bristol was mentioned but is booked out for our travel dates.

2) Is there anyone that can recommend a part of sorrento which is ideal to stay as it seems made up of different areas or districts

3) Also if there was a ''must do'' item that you think we should include in either our trip to sorrento / rome?

You will get reviews on Hotel Caravel . Not sure if the other hotel is reviewed there also.

There are some reviews also.

Hi there you should include a trip to Capri island in your trip ...stay overnight if you can its a bit touristy but a must ,if you travel to this part of the world. A trip by train to Pompeii is also a must and a great day trip .....you can also get boat trips to other parts of the coast postiano etc. a couple of days in sorrento is sufficient IMO.....Good Luck ! Rome ...take a trip down the catacombs if you want something different and very scary and interesting ! also id really recommend the balloon ride in villa bourgeasi park its tethered and go's about 500ft high giving a wonderful view of Rome .......its where i proposed
then all the usual great sites Enjoy !
