Brendan Burgess Founder Messages 52,279 20 Feb 2023 #2 At the Briefing on the Straw Man, we got the following figures in a presentation: Jobseeker Recipients • 34,430 Jobseeker’s Benefit -(Cost: €331m in 2021) • 27,760 fully unemployed (80%) • 6,670 part-time/casual (20%) • 119,540 Jobseeker’s Allowance (Cost €1.5 billion) Average duration of Jobseeker's Benefit : 13 weeks. (This population changes all the time) So Jobseeker's Allowance cost about 5 times as much as Jobseekers Benefit! Brendan Last edited: 20 Feb 2023
