I am converting my existing fireplace to a solid fuel multifuel stove(no boiler) I have looked at both Insert and a Free standing models, and have been quoted for both. I would appreciate any advice.
put in stove into existing fireplace two years ago. At time advised to go with freestanding and keep the stove as far out as possible to keep heat in room. We just put stove straight onto hearth we had in. Best money we had spent as less fuel, more heat and best no draught when not in use. bought a mulberry yeats.
