Solid fuel heating

Gas seems so high to run the house with these days, I have heard about these stand alone stove type solid fuel where you connect a duct up up chimmey. Some one said they really do a great job heating the house and costs around 450 Euro, love to here feed back, thanks

By solid fuel I take it you are talking about coal, turf and wood etc. factors to take into consideration are: Fuel Storeage, Collection or delivery method, Cleaning and disposing of ash, constantly adding fuel by hand, does not operate on a timer, exterior of the appliance can be very hot, they usually take up a lot of space.
