Solid brass door handles or polished brass?

Have had a quick read through previous posts and threads but could not find anything specifically answering my query.

I'm thinking of replacing all our present door handles and just wondering if solid brass ones at approximately €40 are worth the difference compared to something like [broken link removed] at €13.99.

Anyone any advice? THanks.

A little bit subjective but solid brass always seem worth it. The character keeps and can be polished time after time. The brass effect handles tarnish quickly and won't last as long overall. Brass every time.

I agree with Gatherer - you always get what you pay for and the real thing will always beat the brass effect. Solid brass will last a lifetime.
