solicitor for sale of house?

Just wondered if anyone knows or recommends a solicitor in or around North Dublin to deal with a house sale and purchase and if anyone can give me an estimate of the cost of such, thanks!
 
we are currently buying in kildare and have been quoted 2023 incl vat for everything....some complications with the purchase so will see if tis increases due to the added work
 
God, thats cheap according to my quotes, Ive had two, 1 for 4,500 and the other for 4,000. We are selling and buying a new house, are you in the same boat?
 
Be careful of shopping around on price alone or just getting a single figure quote. In most cases only the solicitor's professional fee will be easily estimatable in advance and outlays will be hard to pin down until the work is done. It would not be unusual for the professional fee to be, say, anywhere up to €1K and the outlays and VAT to be the same or more again. Ask the solicitor for an official outline of the estimated cost (yes - I've forgotten what it is again - section something or other document! :eek:) when shopping around and ideally choose a solicitor who comes recommended from a trusted third party. the solicitor that we are using came highly recommended and from her work so far is proving that to us...highly and i mean highly efficient
