Sole trader with three business names. Do I need three VAT numbers?

I am trying to float three business ideas that I have, so I need to set myself up as a sole trader.

For each business do I need seperate individual VAT numbers?

Its an individual that gets a VAT number so the same no will apply to any business names registered by that individual.
