Assuming that the sale is not completed as the solicitor is still involved, then yes, the seller is liable. I believe November was the point in which the person had to be the owner to make them liable for 2014 PT.
mother in law moved to a nursing home in October 2013 and tried to apply for an exemption (as the house is empty) to the LPT on this basis. Emailed LPT and got a reply back from them requesting the property ID information, etc. Haven't heard anything back from them yet and the charge liability is showing up as outstanding in the online account. Repeated phone calls to the `helpdesk' to find out whats happening just result in me getting cut off after about 30 minutes.
anyone point me in what direction I can get talking to a real live person???
thanks for that sahd - I've kept records of my calls and emails so they sure aren't getting a penny in interest from me. I might drop them a letter, then again, I probably shouldn't waste the cost of the ink and stamp. I appreciate they are busy but ........
