I am currently signing for Jobseekers Credits as a qualified adult on my husband's jobseekers assistance payment, which he gets an increase for a qualified adult. I would really like to do a childcare course through Solas ( formally fas). I don't really understand what signing for credits means esp when we are receiving a payment for it. I thought it was one or the other but any how. my question is can i avail of a place on a course and get a training allowance to the same value as I am currently receiving or do I not qualify because I am signing for credits rather than being in receipt of jobseekers allowance or benefit??
