I am looking for some advice about software to track our meagre, but hopefully growing, investments. I presently use MS Money to keep track of our financial affairs, but I would like to have something separate for investments, mainly for two reasons: MS Money does not do everything I want to do and I want to keep track of unrealised gains, but I don't want to them to be reflected in the bottom line. I have tried searching Askaboutmoney and also the web in general, but nothing has jumped out at me (at least not for a reasonable price).
I want to track the individual payments we make into funds and other investments, how they are allocated to various asset classes, how they perform over time, clear comparisons with indices, how they are affected by charges and taxes and probably other things I haven't thought of yet.
I'm sure you all must do this very effectively, so I would appreciate any advice you can give, including ways I may be able to utilize MS Money better, without putting my personal financial details out on the web.
