Social Welfare tennants not paying

I have rented a house to a family who were getting paid by socail welfare in their name. They had given me a months deposit and the social welfare cheque was then handed over and the end of each month

The last one was due at the end of Feb and they phoned to say there was a delay. I got suspicious and went to the house today to find they have left. I am sure they got the cheque at end of Feb and will continue to get one at end of March and maybe longer...

Is there anything I can do to get this?? Or at least stop them getting another one?
 
Contact the Community Welfare Officer who dealt with the tenants (at the local health centre) and let him/her know they've left. That will stop any more cheques issuing to them at your address.
