SMS short code premium rate - want some know how

Hi, hopefully someone has some info on these.... if I get my short number from comreq, do I have to go with a Hosting company aswell as a service provider .... can I host the SMS's myself, if so, what do I need to do?... XML APi ??..

basically Im looking for a 2E phone-in number for my customers ... I want to view there sms's .............and put them up on a website.....
