SMS Scam possibly connected to data breach

I received a text as below from "smsnews":

In December we announced the Mr. or Mrs. <my surname> as our winner but the person didn't claim the award? 24h left

It linked to a site on domain rdfaj.me/

I put the full URL into a preview tool (https://www.screenshotmachine.com/) as I was curious given my surname was used.
The page loaded didn't have anything specific to me, some sort of online slot machine type site appeared.

Not sure how the scammers got my surname in combination with my mobile, possibly one of the reported data breach eg couriers.

Thought I would mention it here to flag to others, see if any else received similar.

I wonder is the common Denominator WhatsApp on your phone?
I have 2 mobile numbers, one without internet access and the other with WhatsApp etc.
I get scam calls on the Internet phone but nearly none on the other phone.
 
Not sure re: the whatsapp angle

I get a lot of scam texts but they are just the general sort An Post customs etc
OR calls which seem to be just number scanning eg your Amazon account will be disabled or whatever

This is the first one I can remember that had other information in conjunction with it.
