I want to receive an sms notification to say I have received a new email. My email provider is gmail. My mobilie phone provider is meteor.
Gmail supports forwarding emails and filters. With the filter you can define which messages you want the SMS notification to be triggered for.
From looking at various posts, you setup your email program to forward emails to 08xxxxxxxx@sms.mymeteor.ie. When I try this it does not work. Tried talking to meteor but they try to sell you this add-on feature to receive emails to your phone(10 bucks a month!).
I told them I was not interested in this add-on feature, and they quite simply did not understand what I was talking about regarding forwarding the emails to the said address.
Is anyone else using this? Maybe this service has been cancelled, they could not tell me either way
