Smelly Toilet

Toilet in our bathroom upstairs has horrible urine smell coming from it (out of the toilet bowl not cistern). I have bleached it and didnt work. Cillit-bang, cif, parazone, blo-loo, toilet duck, etc. etc. etc. Even got new toilet seat cos one I had was wooden and thought it might be urine that had absorbed into the wood and perhaps coming from that. But to no avail. I even bought a flexible brush and cleaned under the rim of the bown thoroughly with bleach. Cannot figure out where it is coming from Any ideas!!!!!

Could the smell be from surrounding areas?

E.g. on the floor behind the toilet, mat, even walls?? etc etc

check the sink waste, shower and bath waste also - put your nose up to it and see if there's a smell or breeze coming up - if so your u-bend has gone dry. Just pour a cupful of water down to fill the u - bend
