Smelly Toilet

Anyone had a problem about a pungent smelly in their toilet comin grom the shores...
OPened the Coverat to the Shore and the smell was really bad and it goes away. However when I close the shore cover again the smell will come through the toilet/sink again and stinks the house up again..

Have you checked the shores/pipes for blockages? I would have thought if the sink/jacks U bend was working properly then you should not get these odours coming up into the house.

You should check every sink, washbasin, showertray, dishwasher,washingmachine etc etc (with a flashlight if necessary) & make sure there is water in the bend. This is what seals the house from the odour from the drains. The toilets are obvious. Personally I dont find the problem funny as these fumes are very unpleasant & probably unsafe.

Living not far from Glasnevin myself and haven't encountered any smelly whiffs from that direction....
