Smelly Kitchen Bin

Hi all,

Looking for some advise. I find that my kitchen bin is really smelly even if the bin liner is changed every two days. I regularly wash out and disinfect the bin. We use the bin for kitchen waste and general unrecyclable waste.

Any ideas for making the bin smell less unpleasant?

only put dry waste into bin.... put food waste etc into separate liner and dump into brown bin immediately.
 
I thought I saw Bin air fresheners in Tesco, have a look there. The just hang in/around the bin.
 
I find wrapping food waste in newspaper before putting them in the bin works.
 
Pop some tea tree oil drops into it each time you fit a new bin bag, cuts the smelltotally. I do it on bins I have in babay room for her nappies and it works so I imaging kitchen waste would smell rosey in comparison!!!
