Oopsy, managed to smash the glass turntable plate in the microwave this morning.
Does anybody know if there are standard replacement plates you can buy that work with any microwave? It's an LG (bought ~ 2 years ago in Power City so warranty's dead) - the support hotline is open Mon-Fri but need to use it this weekend!
I sell catering equipment so can tell you that unless your microwave was very expensive or holds sentimental value, just buy a new one.
It will be cheaper than replacing the plate.
Once I had whirlpool look at my tumble dryer which was two years old and wasnt working. Even though under warranty I was charged €120 for the guy to turn up. The damn thing only cost around €300 to buy new.
