Smart Telecom wireless modem

I'm thinking of signing on for Smart telecom broadband/telephone.

They are charging €140 for a wireless modem. Is there a cheaper way of doing it? ie replace their standard modem with an off-the shelf wireless modem? Has anyone done this successively?

Do Smart Telecom have a difficulty with you doing this?

Many Thanks,

I switched to smart & used my existing wireless modem, a linksys wag54g, worked fine.

I guess the only issue would be their technical support wouldn't be able to walk you through any problems.

Thanks tiger.

I think most wireless modems are at least €100 so I think it my not be worth switching from the smart telecom one which is €140 in case I do have technical problems.
