Anyone know of any small operator's in Brittany or the Vendee region who offer mobile home accomodation. I know about all the large operators like Keycamp, Eurocamp, Campotel, Vacans Soleil, Canvas etc.,

Wait untill the Holiday show is on in the RDS 27/01/05-30/01/05. They will have some independent operators there.
You can book direct and then book the ferry or flights yourself at 1/2 the cost of the tour operators for the exact same holiday.

How about a house?

Martin,

A group (9 - 5adults, 2 teens and 2 toddlers) of us rented a house in the Vendee Region this summer, it had it's own pool. I would highly recommend it if you're interested.

About 280 Miles from Roscoff and 40 miles? inland

Thanks Dr M, I eventually made contact.
Their rates are pretty expensive, over 1500 euro for a two weeks period in july for a 6 person mobile.
Can anybody recommend other sites in this general area we
are flying into lorient and will be hiring a car.

Not sure it'll suit your purposes, but you could have a read of what I said about [broken link removed] (towards the bottom of the page).

IIRC, we paid about €1150 for a fortnight in July — there were seven of us, but they didn't charge for la petite... If you go for the first two weeks rather than the last two it should be a few quid cheaper :)

I wasn't really planning on going any further south than Pornic,
however this may change.
By the way i got a good qoute from argusrentals for car hire which you recommended on a previous thread. Not many companies seem to hire cars from lorient airport.
